We're excited to announce VIRCHE:CINQUIÈME, a collaborative fan project celebrating Virche's 5 year anniversary!VIRCHE:CINQUIÈME is a walkable digital gallery with interactive elements. Fans can submit art, photos, writing, music and more, celebrating the characters, story, and world of Virche Evermore -ErroR: Salvation-.This project is an open submission event, with the submission window lasting from February 15th to September 1st, 2026. What's a walkable digital gallery?
Using RPGMaker and hosting on Itch.io, we will create a digital museum/gallery space capable of hosting many fanworks, and featuring the pieces you submit to us! Guests can walk through the gallery as Ceres to view the submissions we receive.What are the interactive elements?
Guests may enjoy short interactions with other characters from the series within the gallery space, along with viewing many different fanworks.What content can be expected?
This project celebrates all branches of canon, including the fandisc, drama CDs, bonus stories, and stageplays!Any content warnings that apply to the games could potentially apply here! This project is also not spoiler free. Please expect spoilers for Virche Evermore and its sequel game, Epic Lycoris!When will the game go live?
The game will become available on October 7th, 2026.How long will the game be available?
Itch.io is capable of indefinitely hosting free games, but at minimum, it will be available through October 7th, 2027!Will I have to pay for the game?
Nope! It will be free on Itch.io. All mediums! Whether you draw, write fic, take cosplay photos or oshikatsu photos, or anything else, we accept any form of creatively expressing your love of Virche.Do I have to apply to submit?
No applications are necessary to join! As long as your piece sticks to our submission guidelines, it will be featured in the gallery.SUBMISSION GUIDELINESWhat's the theme?
There's no specific assigned theme for this project! A loose celebratory theme is fine, but any other theme you want to explore is great, too. Feel free to get creative! If you're unsure about an idea you have for your piece, you can shoot us an email, listed below.Is there a check-in schedule for participants?
Nope! We'll be posting occasional reminders on our social media pages about the September 1st due date, but we won't be reaching out to participants directly for progress check-ins.What content is accepted?
➢ Content celebrating characters from the original game and fandisc
➢ Content celebrating character relationships, whether romantic, platonic, familial, etc.
➢ All MC/LI ships, along with ships between side characters, LIs, etc.
➢ Yumeships or OC ships of all genders and orientations
➢ Canon typical dark content
➢ Canon and AU content
➢ Content in all languagesWhat content is not accepted?
➢ Any content made with the use of AI
➢ Explicit sexual content
➢ Character, ship or series hate
➢ Any piece that promotes or includes bigoted, racist, sexist, queer/transphobic, or otherwise hateful and harmful rhetoricVirche Fanworks reserves the right to make final judgment calls on submitted pieces to ensure adherence to these guidelines.What are the submission specs?
FOR ARTISTS/PHOTOGRAPHERS: JPG or PNG file set to at least 72 DPI. Please submit via link through an image share service (i.e. Dropbox, Google Drive, etc) or direct email attachment. Your piece will be fully viewable within the gallery, and can include a link to one social media account of your choice for viewers to be able to click on and visit!FOR WRITERS: No minimum or maximum word count! Written pieces should be posted on an audience-accessible site such as AO3 or Wattpad, but privated or unlisted until October 7th. We will include a sample of your writing in the gallery along with a link leading to your full piece. You can also include the link to a social media account in addition to your writing account if you'd like!If you want to submit something in a different medium, please reach out to us by email, listed below!Where can I submit my piece?
Please send your piece to [email protected] with the subject line SUBMISSION - [Your username] - Art/Writing/Photography (etc)!Within the email, please include a link to your piece, any social media links you want shared, and the name you want to be credited as! Not required, but you can also include a small written blurb of 1-3 sentences.When can I post my piece to my personal accounts?
We ask that you please not share your piece on any other social media sites until October 7th when the game goes live. Previews are fine!Any other questions?
